Monday's Meal

as the sun sets in southeastern Wisconsin, supper is around the corner...

a coupla nice chuck eyes oiled, salted & peppered...

a skillet filled with mushrooms, gaaaaaaalic and butter...

an old, wrinkled poblano pepper halved...

...flip those steaks a time or two...

and when that's all done, plop on some Romaine lettuce...flop that around a bit ...

then chopper' all up, add some of them 'shrooms an' chopped up peppers... serve'r as a salad with baked Yukons...

pull up a chair to the table and Let's EET!

Fantastic plate again Jim! I still can't find any of those chuck eye steaks around here. I'll be driving through your neck of the woods on Wednesday. Can you tell me where you buy yours?

you can try Pick'n Save stores (about 5.59 per lb) in the Milwaukee area...
a few Sendik's stores ( about 5.97 per lb) also sell them from time to time...
and I've found some at Woodman's. (about 4.59 per lb)
Mark, when I see them, and they look good, I buy them, no matter the price.
Tonight's were from Pick'n Save.

Sean, a little EVOO, a shake of fresh ground pepper before then sometimes a splash of balsmic vino after.
Rick, yes, I cook everyday. I find that cookin' everyday is an ez way to eet everyday
