Minion method mayhem


 
If your WSM gets to hot with the top vent full open and a single bottom vent 1/2 open....close the bottom vent to ~1/4 - 3/8 open and see where the temperature stabilizes.
I would think the insulation would make the cooker even more consistent than a stock cooker.
Learn what vent setting achieves the desired cooking temperature.

My stock 22" WSM would run close to 300 with a single intake open 1/2.

With no water in the pan, calm wind conditions, full charcoal ring (KBB), center minion, top vent open 100%, single bottom vent open ~1/8" gap, the top grate temperature runs ~225 for 10+ hours.
