How many beer can chickens at once on WSM 22.5?


 
I did 6 whole Costco fryers without the beer can a few weeks ago; I could have loaded 4 whole fryers per rack with no problem. With beer can stands, you may be able to get 5 per rack.

Let's see, 5 per rack times 2 means 10 chickens.
Drinking 1/2 can of beer from each mount while carry chicken out to smoker equals 5 beers.
5 beers in the time it takes to get from back door to smoker equals
not being able to find smoker, and really caring at that point.
Just saying!
 
Bill has a very good point. As a matter of practice and ritual, I drink the half of the beer that doesn't end up in the chicken. Could be interesting.... :)

I think you need to employ a few elves for this work while you supervise.
 
Just make it an all day event, drink a beer, add 2 chickens, wait an hour and repeat until all 10 chickens are on.
 
I have to admit that this will be at the end of a midnight brisket smoke. I will have been up almost all night, with a few naps. So drinking all that beer might not be a good ideer.
