How Big

16.5lb. one for me. Didn't even have to cram it inbetwen the handles. It was pretty thick verses a long one. Get your mind out of the gutter, we're talking cooking here.

I had a 14.5lb one, that was longer than it was thick. So it did need a bit of tucking in around the handles in order to fit.

15 lb brisket was the largest I've cooked. I did have to "finess" it between the handles. As we all know a good cook know how to handle his meat!

16.somethin here too. i've heard of 20 lbers. but im not sure at all. 16 is large to me.

I'm not an especially big fan of very big briskets. The one I note above was what was available at the time. Usually I have 3 or 4 to choose from. My preference: 11-13 lbs, with the flat of as even a thickness as possible (not dramatically tapering in thickness as one sees periodically). There is only one place I can get them. They are no-roll, 4 to a case, and so that's what I have to work with. They're good, but it would be nice to a have a selection.
