Hot Squat


 
I have the handles ready to install on my new 18.5 WSM when it arrives. I'm installing mainly for convenience when moving it while it's cold. I did have a Gourmet version of the ECB before with handles. It was common to lift the full smoker with water in the pan to tend the fire due to the small access door and the units failure to maintain any type of constant temp. I never had any problem with hot water spilling because most of the weight was below the handles making it stable. That said, I hear it will not be necessary with the WSM due to the great temp control and long smoking time one can maintain with it.
