Grill Reccomendation

I've decided to replace my gas grill this year. It is not a Weber (hangs head in shame). I have my eye on the Performer Deluxe. I'd love to get some input/feedback/advice from those who have one. Any pros/cons?

All pros, no cons.

Its a weber kettle... With gas assisted lighting built into a sweet little cart. I use mine for everything from baking bread, to grilled cheese sandwiches to slow smoked ribs. Its the right thing to do.

I have had my performer for almost 10 years now and would not know what to do with out it. Cost more, but it is well worth it.

I'm honestly completely happy with my 22.5 OTS converted to gold. I do more cooking on it than anything else. A performer is obviously even more awesome.

JR,
The performer is my go to grill, I use the burner to light my all my grills which is handy and I buy the small tanks at a outdoor store and can get them for a good price, 4 for ten bucks, and one tank can last me several months. My grill is a older AD but I just bought the new style table and bale lid holder.
If was in the market I would buy another performer in a New York minute, and get one in a color other than black this time.

Buy the Deluxe and never look back.

So tough to choose...my heart is with charcoal and my head is with gasser. But, if I could only choose one, I'd go with the gasser w/ side burner. I have the genesis silver C with side burner and I love it. Because it cost so much, I've taken great care of it. It also gives me "easier" flexibility than the performer. I also find that you can pick up weber kettles pretty cheap on CL so I would factor that in. A good scrubbing and a new grate and you probably have an almost new kettle.

I picked up a '13 CL Performer with gas assist. I love it. It's just real ez to use because of the table & gas assist. CL is the way to go unless you just have to have new.

I got my Performer in 2006. It is the most awesome grill, and it's still like new. With the gas assist, it is every bit as easy to use as a regular gas grill. Plus you get the charcoal taste!

I love my 26" kettle and my S330 gasser. If I had a 22" WSM, I'd be good to go with those 3

Got a deluxe last spring. I absolutely love it. The metal side table is a nice step up as is the gourmet system. Seasoned a new carbon steel wok recently. It got plenty hot. I still use a chimney to get the coals started before transferring them to baskets, but gas assist is really sweet. Good luck!

Performer, you bet I've got two of them with the gas assist. Almost as easy as a gasser. If charcoal is your game you can't beat a performer for all around versatility from grilling to smoking and easy start up.

Performer with gas assist is the way to go. I light my coals for my WSM or Jumbo Joe from my Performer. Can't remember the last time I lit them any other way.

Your new Performer will outlive your gas grill by a long way if you take care of it. The new non plastic top side table is nice too.

This is true as I have a 08 Genny S310 and hardly ever use it the charcoal has the ability to add more flavor easier.
