Fighting My Instincts: No Burn Off?

So I just finished the first cook on our new Spirit E-210, and everything I'm reading says to wait until the next time I fire it up to do my burn off? With my previous grill, after I finished cooking I would always set all the burners on high for a 5-10 minute burn off with the lid closed. I'm having a hard time with the idea of just letting my new grill sit there dirty until the next time we use it...

Anyone else struggle with this?

The are a few reasons I burn off after a cook. If I'm doing a deep clean, it is a head start. If going to use the rotisserie or switch grates, I burn off, so there aren't dirty grates lying around. Otherwise, I leave the grates dirty, save the gas, and can get the cover on right after we're done eating.

If you do a burn after cooking, you are less likely to have any insects / bugs trying to munch on the leftover food on the grates.
