E-310 Cleaning

I finally got the Weber grill I wanted from Craigslist, an E-310 espresso, with controls on side. I'm sure there is a thread somewhere about cleaning the grill inside and out, but I have been unsuccessful in finding it. So, please post a link if there is a thread already.

I have blasted the heat to get build up off of grates but some still remains. The grates are stainless steel. Can't i just wash them in hot soapy water, rinse and dry? Can't I do that with the flavorizer bars as well? On the other hand, doesn't the buildup create a non-stick surface and help with flavor? So, maybe I don't want to clean the grates and flovorizer bars to like new? I want to get some of the rust spots off of the stainless steel work tables, what cleaner should I use on it? Any other general advice/suggestions is appreciated!

Any suggestions for a cleaner to use on exterior of grill and rust spots on SS work tables? Thanks!
