Love it. I pickle it, fry it, use it in Gumbo and other Cajun and Creole recipes.

I think okra is underrated because people think it's slimy. It can be. If you don't like the slime there are, as Bob points out, plenty of other ways to prepare the stuff.

Hard pass on anything with okra for me. My wife likes it. I refuse to put it in my gumbo for her.
