Bacon Snack Attack

I like to hand slice my bacon off the slab as I need it.
It gets hard to do this when the piece gets down to about an inch wide.
So I went with a skewer of kaBOBs.

A sprinkle of pepper, onion and garlic powder:

Felt a little guilty after eating a few, so I tried to healthy it up a bit:

You are one creative guy Bob. I'll never pictured bacon and healthy the same again. What the heck it's super bowl Sunday healthy is not to be thought of today.

When I was buying wings, chips, dip, mushrooms, etc the other day I told the checkout gal I tried to avoid buying anything healthy for the SB, and I worried the mushrooms were borderline.
She said put butter on 'em.
I said I plan to do that when I grill them!
 
did you invite that "checkout gal" to your SB party, dude? hmmmm....

Hmmm bacon-Kabob. Now that sounds like a great idea. And it looks real guud too. Healthy too.
 
When I lived in Japan, I was a big fan of yakitori joints. My favorite was the chicken thigh with the yakitori glaze, but the close second was buta baraniku - pork belly. It was best with the shio, or fine dust of salt & pepper. The bacon kabob looks pretty similar. In fact, it made my mouth water.
