no fancy camera with sophisticated lens, just point & shoot box trying to hold steady after a case of beer:p

Looks like you really enjoyed your day!!!! Where was the parade at? It doesn't look like it was held in a town.

We did John, very much! Thanks!
Umm.. the parade runs ¾ of a mile from the Raymond Volunteer Fire Department to the Raymond School.
The Town of Raymond is basically farmland... there are no stop lights, no "roundabouts", no curbs or sidewalks. Just roads and fields with homes scattered around on acre to many acre lots.
So, the parade was held in Downtown Raymond. :)

Thank you for the nice pics of the parade. Next year, you might put wheels on the pigvillion and participate!

Looks like they know how to do it up right for Independence Day in Raymond. Glad you had a great day.

Sure looks like it was a great day in Raymond! Awesome lookin' cookin' and a spectacular series of pics! Thanks for sharing your day with us, Jim!:)

I love small town rural america. Makes me nostalgic for where I grew up. I'd take that parade over any large city independence day celebration. Great looking cook Jim. And I 2nd the post about putting the p1gvilion on a float for next years parade.

thanks to you all for your nice comments:) the town parade is something we look forward to every year.
