I've been getting a little back into weight lifting just a little - haven't done that for a while...since 12/2014 anyway. I went down to my weight room ~3 weeks ago & did a couple deadlifts to test the old back, it did ok, went back there a day or 2 later.....then I started researching racks (looking to buy one I used to like at the gym).... sunday before last I drew it out, next day I had 3" square tubing in the driveway.....and a week later (maybe 4-5 hours work) I had a working power cage : )

In case anyone's wondering - yes, I used the entire habanero in the burger, yes it had a little kick to it, but not much more (if more) than my regular favorite sauce of the last few years.

Clint, that is definitely a "plate of goodness". However, I am afraid, I would have to drop the heat index by using a Jalopeno instead of a Habanero (yeah, maybe I am a wimp, but "that's how I roll").

As usual, a good cook nicely shared...

Keep on smokin',

Looks wunnerful! So as I had never seen it here, I priced out your price for a 10oz bottle-->$4.89 (be a bit more CDN but that's still good) but then I checked out amaz ca (as it's not sold up here):

$81! (plus shipping of course) . Wifey says: not bloody likely ;)

Looks like I get to (still) enjoy my own ;)
This was ~3 large mushrooms, 3 slices of Swiss cheese

Gonna need that workout room if you keep enjoying those kinds of burgers buddy :)

I have a habanero plant and a ghost pepper plant in my garden. My 7 year old had to have the ghost pepper plant. I have hundreds of peppers that we never use. Going to try and roast some habanero's soon.

Same here - we usually plant 3 or 4 pepper varieties, mostly for my hopes that they will ward off deer. Doesn't work :) I do enjoy eating them but not too much in any given week.

That burger looks awesome!

Aw - most of the heat cooks out - I was sipping on a gallon of milk last time I ate a whole raw hab.

Had a family friendlier version for lunch a little while ago.....

This is 1 jalapeno per burger

Both were good, but I have to say I preferred the hab by a long shot :)

**and Len - I get a case of that + a few other flavors for ~$80 per case, delivered about once per year. I could ship a bottle or few to Canada, I've only shipped there a few times...being "a gift" I don't think you'd have to pay any duties.

I'd like to dehydrate (and grind into a powder) a few habs just for fun. Roasting them I don't think will kill the heat too much, at least it doesn't seem to with Jalapenos.

Thank you for posting, these burgers look wonderful. Have done some with roast jalapenos which are then skinned and seeded and put on top to finish after the burger is done, def cooks away a majority of the heat.
