Everything was going as planned to get out on the lake early this morning before it got to hot until a tire exploded on the freeway. Delayed our arrival to the lake about 3 hours. Funny thing is, I was going to take it in yesterday to get all new tires. I knew something was going to happen when I could see the rear axle bouncing out of control in my side view mirror.

All new tires mounted.

Finally on the lake. Up in Cliff Bartlett's neck of the woods.

Marinated up some cheap beef for carne asada tacos before we left. Good thing I did because these hit the spot. Thanks T&M for the recipe! This will be my go to marinade.

Awesome looking tacos. Love the lake pic and the boat, that looks like lots of fun and the view is outstanding. Sorry about the tire but everyone is safe and that's the most important thing.

Nice recovery! It looks great.

Reminds me of many moons ago when the axle broke on my boat trailer. Luckilly, it was only about 200 yards from the house. Could have been a disaster.

Tacos look great and I'm glad you made it to a lake with some water in it. Not easy to do around here.

I keep reading about Tony's Carne Asada recipe but I cant find it. Anybody (Tony) care to share this recipe? It looks amazing.
