The Pizza Gods have smiled so often on Chuck's pizza cooks that he's become a bit jaded ;)

I'd be thrilled to turn out one of these "so-so" pizzas.
 
Just had a tough go with the dough. I wanted it to be thinner and it was anything but thin. Finally just said the heck with it, and made some dough we could work with and let her rip. The pizzas look better than they are. I have to attribute that to the Oak fire and the cast iron lid. But hey.....It was pizza night, pizza night is so far the best way to get the family altogether, so it was great for that, it was fun if nothing else
 
Unique flavors on that first pie my friend, and pretty crafty with the Steel on top. Dough is tricky sometimes I nail it and sometimes it just does not go so well. They do look beautiful and I would love a slice
 
That's some incredible pizza for sure. When we do our pizza I do a thin crest one. The recipe I've been using for a long time is real simple, comes out great every time.

Great looking pizzas. You really are onto something with using a WSM for pizza. When I finally break down on getting the KettlePizza kit it will probably go on my WSM before my Performer. The one thing I'm wondering though is do you think it would be more beneficial if you could get the heat a little higher by raising the grate some?
