Everything does not look too bad actually except for the front cook box panel. Maybe hit all the rusted spots with phosphoric acid to prevent further corrosion and paint the outside with high heat paint. Painting the inside of the cook box might be tricky without poisoning yourself. I actually...

the tray is not too bad. if you really want it clean soak it in oven cleaner/ degreaser overnight and scrub with copper wire brush. It will get dirty again next time you grill. your biggest worry would be the rotting of the bottom panel and the bottom of the frame where the wheels are connected.

Looks very nice! However, I only have a few spots and having to disassemble the whole grill and repaint is a lot of work, especially during this time of the year as paint won't dry at sub zero. I think I would go with just spraying some color matching touch up here and there comes spring.

Ya, my options are even more limited since I'm Canadian. All of the paints in the topic are either not sold in Canada or at a very high import price. Guess I'd just try out myself what they have off local hardware stores

May I ask why you prefer E-W configuration? I find the control knobs of the N-S burner significantly reduce the counter space of the side table

Exactly. This ss grate is good and thick. In Canada you can only buy weber with this grate from bbq stores. Big box stores only sell cast iron that can rust or very thin ss grate that does not retain heat that great. I have them from 2008 and they took a beating and never rust.

the steel frame doesnt look bad. I think with some wire brush attached to a drill is going to grind them all away, maybe more time would be required for the cross member. The rest just need a good cleaning
