What is a Weber "Compact Kettle Charcoal Grill"??

Thanks. My gut told me that it may be a Euro-model, but the lower asking price made me think otherwise. I'll definitely pass on this one.

What is a Weber "Compact Kettle Charcoal Grill"??

Hello all, I found online (via "Bookoo") a very slightly used Weber "Compact Kettle Charcoal Grill". I've never seen one of these. Any idea how good of a grill it is? Is it worth $70 (I suppose I could offer $50 for it). Seems like an odd grill that might make a cool collectible. Here is...

    My first charcoal grill

CChuck, I have a 22.5 OTG that I bought new back in 2005. I used it often and rarely cleaned it up (it kept cooking just fine, so other than a wire brush along the grates every once in a while, I never saw the need to clean the other parts). Once I discovered this site, I've taken a much bigger...

    question about obtaining parts

I ordered a gold ash catcher for a silver to gold upgrade from "weber closeouts" on ebay ($30 for the 18.5" assy). It was an aluminum colored one (i.e. not painted black). This was just 3 weeks ago.

    22.5 OTG Wobble Question

I tried a similar mod on my 22.5 OTG a few years ago. I wanted to stop the legs from falling out when I moved the kettle (I didn't notice the overall wobbliness, just the legs falling out). I drilled a hole through each of the leg mounts and aluminum legs, and then placed a bolt throught it...

Blue 22.5 OTG...painted wheels and triangle

No special paint on the wheels. Just an all-round spray paint that the label said was ideal for plastic. I did use a special primer for plastics before I painted.

One Touch Silver or One Touch Gold?

I had both a Gold and a Silver. I appreciated the Gold so much that I ended up converting my Silver to a Gold. Not sure about the 26, but I've found the 22.5 to be the perfect size when I grill for me and the wife. This allows plenty of room for side dishes as well (veggies, etc.). Also use...

Another 18.5" OTS to OTG upgrade

The handle was purchased from an online German Weber reseller for 14 Euros (=$18). Here is the link http://www.weststyle.de/Weber-...ills-2010::2867.html Installing it was straight forward. I was a little hesitant on removing the stock handle because it was welded to the lid. I unscrewed the...

    Removing lid handle on OTG

Thanks for the idea of drilling out the old handle. May try that. Honestly, I've never been a huge fan of the wooden handles. I think I remember them from our family's various Weber's growing up. However since I've owned my own Webers for the past 10 or so years I've only known the plastic...

    Removing lid handle on OTG

I recently purchased some add-on features for both of my One Touch grills (an 18.5 and a 22.5). One of the items is an entirely new handle assembly for the lid. I live in Germany and I see these pre-installed on the Webers in the German stores. It's basically a handle with a type of heat...

Another 18.5" OTS to OTG upgrade

I know this is not a new topic here (in fact it's been covered here a lot in the past), but I've decided to upgrade my 9 yr old 18.5" OTS to a OTG. I bought the hinged cooking grate for this grill long ago. Just yesterday I orderd the OTG Ash catcher and ring from eBay. Shipping was less than...
