Ideally I would like to use it to monitor the ambient temperature of up to two grills and four different meats. It will solely be used for smoking meat. I also would like the other features you mentioned such as web interface, graphs, and alerting.
I will check out...
I assume someone on here has built a wifi thermometer using the raspberry pi. I have tried to find the build by searching the forum but have been unsuccessful. Can someone point me to a thread showing how to build one. I am wanting a wireless thermometer with multiple probes. Ideally I would...
Here's my thought. Get the 26". If you find you have too much space (unlikely) and would prefer the 22", you can probably sell it for around $200 and then use that money to buy a CL performer or a new 22" kettle.
When using my performer I light my charcoal using a chimney over the gas assist. I let the gas go for about five minutes or so and then turn the gas off and wait until the charcoal is properly lit. I hardly ever use the baskets.

I did 20 pounds of pork butt a few weekends ago in about 7.5 hours at 275 degrees. I would get your WSM up to around 275 and you can throw your pork butt on around 7 or 8 and have it done in plenty of time.
I smoked two pork butts this weekend on the 22 WSM. They were about 10 pounds each. The WSM settled in around 280 and it took about 7-8 hours. I wrapped when they got to 170 and pulled them off when they were probe tender around 203*.
