Crazy killer looking way to go Brazilian, it's getting to be swimsuit season..

Just bumped an old three from 2013 with an update on this "Carson Rodizio". Check out the videos and website. I'm ordering one through the kickstarter link for $250 to get delivered in May. I'm not sure how it will smoke with the door open, but he says they're working on skewers with...

    Carson Rodizio

Can't really see what the price, etc... Was on this from way back when, but I'm ordering one now through his kickstarter site for $250. Looks incredible. Won't get it until sometime in May, but will post some pic's when I get some meat spinning on it. I thought he price was I touch steep when...

Performer with SS Cart on KC Craigslist

Not sure if this is a good deal, but I have read people on here wishing they had the "old" stainless steel cart. $90 seems decent enough? Grill looks OK to me... Grate not so great, but it's hard telling what rest of it looks like. http://kansascity.craigslist.org/for/4497439891.html I'm not...

    Chunk Charcoal sale at Lowe's

Just ordered some online, with free shipping to my house (not store pickup). Magic number there is 7 bags, use the $10 promo coupon, that keeps your total over $50 for free shipping, delivered to my door with KS sales tax $56.98... For 140 pounds... Or roughly 41 cents/pound. If you want it...

For those who have the compression latch.

I've done four or five cooks on mine with the CB door and this compression latch and don't think the handle has ever warmed up enough that I've needed a glove. Always practice safe stoking and glove up if I'm stirring coals, or putting wood in specific spots, but have grabbed it several times...

Mounting Tel-Tru thermometer just below top grate

I think I've got a couple projects I'll need to do. This looks great, maybe off to a side a litte, bu the shorter shaft would probably be better down there. Tel-Tru still pretty much the gold-standard for this type of thermo? Now, the second part of this project would be busting out the...

    NCAA Basketball Tournament....Who'll take it?

If anybody could make that crud taste like real food, I'm guessing it would be you. There's plenty of high protein healthy meat options that you can smoke and grill, and shed a few pounds. My biggest diet hurdle is all the empty calories in the fine beverages that go so well with the prepping...

    Maverick ET-132 Probes

I agree, this place rocks. Great service, really good prices, fast reasonably priced shipping. Great people to buy from. This is the 3 ft "hybrid" probe... On sale quite a bit (and currently) for like $7. They also have some 6ft and some waterproof ones, etc.. But these general purpose ones...

    Smoked Cheese

Eric, thanks a million for the details. This sounds super easy. Makes me think of the black and yellow books "smoking cheese for dummies"... Glad a few other people were curious too. That's the real beauty of this site, everyone sharing their knowledge and experience with everyone. Guess...

    Smoked Cheese

Probably really stupid questions, but I have to ask... How are your vents set, top and bottom? With that small amount of fuel, do you have to worry much about melting he cheese? Or do you monitor it and keep it below a certain temp? Water pan, no water pan? If water pan, empty or full? This...

Where do you have your meat probe?

I bought one of these. Phil, I'm like you in that I don't have metal skills.. Or wood skills... Or cement skills... I have what I think are good ideas, but never have the gumption to bring them to fruition. I do have Amazon shopping skills, if spending money is a skill...

    performer charcoal baskets

I've had good results with the "new" charcoal baskets, but really like the looks of the old heavy wire kind. Noticed the Weber item # in the eBay listing posted above. Should make them a little easier to track down on the World Wide Web... Replacement Weber part number 960080 I'll post a...

    Stubbs bricketts deal ;) *****

Back to $7.87 on the Stubb's at Amazon... Just ordered 3 bags through Prime, with KS sales tax, for just over $25. Now I just need the Royal Oak to go back down to a decent price again.

WSM 22.5 + cajun bandit door + Compression latch (SC-62315)

No problem, just passing on what I received on here. :) The unibit thing works like a charm... Real slow rotation and just takes a few seconds. Total install takes less than five minutes of "work" and the result is phreakin phenomenal!

WSM 22.5 + cajun bandit door + Compression latch (SC-62315)

James... I'll pass along this link that someone else posted in on of these threads a while back. It's got instructions for a bunch of their latches, and the one that everyone here gets (including myself) is towards the bottom. Either match up the item number on the little charts on the right...
