Where can I find a new 22" WSM on the cheap?

Only one manufacturer makes it and they don't have sales on this model. So.....

Your best bet is to wait for Amazon to lower their price or try to catch a sale at places like Target or Sears.

It could take months to save a few dollars. Just think how many cooks you could have had in the meanwhile.

Shaun R,

Go to Charcoal Grills, then to Webers, and the WSM is down on the left side of the page. I bought mine from them at that same price four and a half years ago. Their website has never functioned very well, but if you call them, they will set you up.

If you click on the WSM link, it takes you to a "under construction" Yahoo website. Phone calls went unanswered. May be an old site that's no longer active.

Yep, $179 is what I paid for my first 18" WSM from Amazon ... over 5 years ago.

But that's not what they are today.

In another month or so, you'll probably find 'like new' 22"s on Cragislist for under $200.

I bought mine for $388 at aimtofind.com

before i realized that an Amazon purchase would have helped this site. If I could convince my wife that I needed a second unit I'd use Amazon. sorry guys...

Check out http://camelcamelcamel.com/ and http://www.pricetrace.com/. These are websites where you can put in the ASIN or Amazon URL of any product Amazon sells and it will tell you the Amazon.com price history of that product up to a year ago. It will show you the highest price it was sold for on Amazon, the lowest it was sold for on Amazon, as well as, of course, the current price. You can set up a trigger price where the website will alert you if and when the product hits that price.

According to camelcamelcamel.com, the 22.5" was $304.77 on 13 December 2009.

The ASIN for the WSM 22.5" is B001I8ZTJA.

Here are the direct links for the price histories on both sites:

A warning if you care to help support TVWB with your Amazon shopping.

When you visit these Amazon price tracking sites, they tag you with their Amazon Associate code so they get credit for your purchase.

If you want TVWB to get credit for your WSM purchase, you need to click the Amazon link on TVWB before adding the WSM to your shopping cart. Do not add it to your cart from the tracking website.

Regards,
Chris
