Sorry for reviving an old thread, but of course I came across the same problem with the emblem as everyone else, after you remove the clips holding on the badge, how do you put it back on securely. I have two solutions. First (and most difficult/expensive) involves using a tap and die set to thread the pins on the emblem, then use a corresponding sized nit and lick washer. Second and easier solution is to purchase the retainining clips, which I found out are called "push nuts" or "pushnuts". I found some at my local hardware store for less than $1.50. This should make removing the emblem and resecuring it after a thorough cleaning a no-brainer.
