How Much Wood? New 14"WSM

I plan on firing up the new 14" I recently scored for $50 this Fri evening for an overnight butt. How many wood chunks should I use compared to my 18" WSM? I usually use 2 chunks of Apple, and 2 chunks of Cherry in the 18" for comparison and we have been very happy with the results.


Just not sure if it matters or not, but don't want to find out the hard way!!!

I would start with one chunk of each and gauge your results accordingly. It's not a big deal to make a note and use more next time, but too much smoke can really deflate the experience of an otherwise fantastic meal. I learned this one the hard way...
