Well, er, no. But I did come across a Thomas Keller roast chicken recipe that I've had on my list of cooks to do. The chicken is a Coleman Organic from Costco; very meaty and delicious.

Started by cuttin' and choppin' turnips, rutabagas, onion, carrots and garlic. Tossed in a little oil and made a nice bed for the chicken.

Beautiful cook Pete something I would like to try also.

Question, it appears in your pics the Ci is direct over the coals or am I not seeing it correctly?

Thanks Bill; you're not alone in calling me "Jeff" LOL

I did put the skillet directly over the coals. Not a really big heat; I kept the temp in the kettle around 350F.

Tony and others; if you're interested here's a link to the recipe I followed.

Love the idea of the veggies beneath the bird.... a whole lotta flavour added there Pete!
a Beautiful Dinner with Fantastic photos as well!

We just bought another 12" Lodge and I see they added their name to the short handle... as if you did not know it was Lodge. ;)
