Desiccant

Think its safe to those desiccant packs inside my SJ and Go-Anywhere grills? I live in an area that gets a lot of marine layers (fog). Especially to protect my Craycort CI grates.

Desiccant works best in air tight situations. Doubtful you could achieve that with those grills. Maybe if you kept them in plastic bags.
I'd suggest a light coating of cooking oil for the grates. Pam would work - it's spray on.

Our vacation home is right on Hood Canal in Washington State. Because of the salt air, I keep all of my grates in the dry, lightly heated, from a freezer and refrigerator, storage shed. Even the cast grate from my Q320 has stayed in good shape storing it inside when not using it.

Ps, those desiccant bag really do not hold much moisture at all. So once they are introduced to moist air they pretty much done.
