Breakfast on the Genesis II

Since it was a balmy 35 degrees and sunny this AM, I thought I'd try breakfast on the Genesis II.
We don't have bacon very often but had a bit left over from a dinner my wife made the other night.

Now I know why I don't cook breakfast outside... almost never. Because it's such a royal PIA. No, I don't have to clean up the stove top but I do need to wash and season the CI pan and griddle. Breakfasts are for kitchens.1000010247.jpg

When I used to camp, an outdoor breakfast over a Coleman stove was a treat. Now that I am older, the indoor stove has a bigger appeal. I do not think I would do it more than once or twice if I had an outdoor griddle.

Last summer we had weekend houseguests who were late sleepers.

Keeping things quiet inside the house on Sunday morning I fired up the Genesis and cooked bacon and eggs on the griddle for me and my wife.

It was rather relaxing cooking breakfast outside.
