I am wondering if anyone has added a strap to the lower lip of the Cajun bandit door. Basically so it will not drop out of the smoker while being used upside down. I have found running my stock door upside down is really nice, not because it does anything more than it will stay on the chamber as I drop it out of the way to rattle the coals. I was thinking no big deal but I have found this is just easier for me not to have to deal with setting the door somewhere and it is quicker.
I was thinking of a strip of stainless steel riveted to the lower lip of the CB door to give it the wings that the stock door has. Do you think their would be any issues with using aluminum instead of stainless rivets? I guess I am only putting in a couple 3-4 of them so its not that big a deal.
OR does anyone have another way of doing this? Any help would be appreciated, Thanks!! (And as of yesterday the 18" doors are back in stock)
