I came to this group because of the HeaterMeter discussion that is hosted here. For the past year or two I have been hosting a friend's Primo XL that was equipped with a Stoker II. While using the Primo I have grown to really appriciate using the Smoke then Sear approach, and my old Aussie Grill is in need of a lot of care. So, after he repossessed it a few week ago I decided that I wanted to build a BBQ Island, which Led me to the HM.

I teach MCAD at a communtiy college so I have gone through several itterations and come to the following design. The Grilling area is 18.5x28x9, and the smoker is 16x26x22.

Pics are not visible. Check the FAQ link at the top of the page. There is an article there that tells the best way to post pics. Welcome to the forum.

Haven't heard of MCAD, until you posted that link... Ahhhh Autocad Mechanical.
Welcome to the family.
