our family never got it growing up - I only had it at friends houses.

I liked "baloney hats" ....fried baloney with ketchup - yum :)
 
love spam ! as to jim, well, ya just can't force culture on some folks.
actually, I really miss the slime, it was great on toast.
 
I like it sliced thin and smoked. I also like frying up some taters with some onions and SPAM , put a nice crispy layer of it on a plate and a couple of fried eggs on top. Man there's a lot of different kinds out there now.
