Wind break

Just started using my iq 110 with good results but in good weather (80 deg. & light wind). I used it with all the bottom vents closed and it held temp very well.
Do any of you users think this will negate the need for a wind break in windy/cooler conditions? I'm thinking that if all the bottom vents are closed, wind blowing into the vents won't be a problem.
Thanks,
Al

Hi Al,
For me, I use a wind break on windy days. Even though I have a Stoker ATC with bottom vents closed, the top vent is still open. Not to mention if your smoker has any air leaks (between lid and middle section or around the door), these could possibly also let the wind in.
