Did you go out and buy a new chimney starter or did you pack it with you?
 
Great looking cooks and will have to make up a travel kit now. My many travels
to either VA or FL to see the kids they always want BBQ and they do lack for cooking implements. ;)
 
The funny things were the looks on the faces of the guys using the other grills. They all had either Matchlight or used fluid.
"What is that thing?"
"It's called a chimney starter."
"How does it work?"
"Put 3 individual pieces of crumpled newspaper in the bottom; charcoal in the top and light the paper."
"Why do you do that?"
"I don't like my food to taste like lighter fluid."
"Oh."

I'm an American of Irish/German descent.

To answer your question, yes. I have a travel knife bag. You may notice the turner that is under the fish plate is not in the charcoal kit. That's from my knife bag. I also pack a basic seasoning bag.
