Rubbed very generously, almost too generously. But me, I love garlic and salt so it was perfect for my tastes.

I really am insane when it comes to this stuff. When a recipe calls for Italian seasoning, I have to pull this out and sift through it.

I really enjoy this cut of meat and will be doing it again. I would have to say that I would have preferred a horseradish cream sauce instead of garlic cheese spread.
 
I hope that when I do my first tri tip it looks as good as yours. Nice cook Chris.

Fabulous, brings back fond memories of the Oak Pit in Weaverville Ca and great steelhead fishing. Thanks for the pics, looks like you and tri-tip have a bright future.
