    Kingsford charcoal

    Has anyone had issues with Kingsford Charcoal burning down to ash quicker here lately? It seems like my last 2 smokes I've had to add more charcoal more often.

    High heat Butt

    I tried a high heat cook on a 7# pork butt. It was one of my best cooks. I opened all of the vents 100% and let her rip.It came out moist and tender with a good bark.     rump roast

    I'm going to try a rump roast today even though I know this is not the best choice for a smoker. My question is should I go with high or low heat. I thought about smoking it in a foil pan with a little water in the bottom to keep it moist. Any ideas out there?
