I hope this is something that pans out. I am getting tired of the problems with the Mavericks. Have some that if you touch them they stop working, some that just don't work anymore after 1-2 uses. Gets expensive

Going to have to mess around. When I push the button to the left the middle LCD light comes on. I can make the LCD bright and lower. Everything looks like it is in the right place and the solder joints look good. The new power supply comes Tuesday. I didn't attach the blower fan yet.

I just realized that I am using a .5 amp instead of a 1a. Could that make the difference? I have to go buy a 1a. Radio Shack wants like 30 or 40 dollars for it.

Would have to find a battery that can handle a charge overnight as well. Wouldn't be hard but would add some more bulk to it.

When I built my Linksys one last year, I had problems with the LCD screen so I did not use it. I wasn't sure if it was something I did wrong, or what. Is there a way for me to test it in advance? This way if it works or doesn't work I have less downtime?

Yes, but at least if more local businesses start with 3d printing it will drive some of the prices down a little bit for cases and such for projects like these in the future.
