    Pizza dough

Try this dough recipe. It is very easy to make, and at 550° gives you a crisp outer crust with a soft, light, and very chewy inner crust. http://www.bonappetit.com/recipe/no-knead-pizza-dough

    Upgrading LinkMeter / Bricked Router

I was able to get LM back on the router, but now I need to change the baud rate on LM so it will communicate with HM, so I can upgrade HM. I can't seem to figure out how to get to /etc/config/lucid to change this. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks

    Upgrading LinkMeter / Bricked Router

A year ago I built three LM's with V3.2 HM's. All three of the LM's are Model WRT54g V2. I successfully updated the LM I kept for myself to version 8. A friend that I gave one of the other LM's to wanted me to update his. I unsuccessfully tried updating just the LM package multiple times. I...

    Ruhlman Pastrami Recipe

Martin - Thanks for the input. I appreciate the help in understanding all of this. Just so I am clear on how to do the calculation. If I have 4000g of water, 20g of cure #1, 100g of salt, 20g of sugar, 10g of spices, and 2000g of beef: Pickle weight = 4150g Meat weight = 2000g Sodium...

    Ruhlman Pastrami Recipe

Gregg - I made the corned beef recipe last week and didn't even think about checking the quantity of pink salt. I cured 2 5lb brisket flats and it turned out great. I also wondered what the difference between the corned beef and pastrami recipes was since Ruhlman states that Pastrami is...

    Ruhlman Pastrami Recipe

I'm thinking about making the Ruhlman Pastrami recipe from "Charcuterie". The recipe calls for 42 grams of pink salt in the brine for 5 lb's of beef. Is this too much pink salt? Backing into the PPM on the DiggingDogFarm website calculator gives about 1250 PPM nitrite, which is slightly...

    New LinkMeter package version 5

Is this for the version 4 board and rpi only? Or does it work with the v3.2 board and WRT54?

    New wireless probe system

Bryan, At what temperature does the LM stop displaying the IT+ temperature? It is about 10 degrees here right now. I started up the LM and everything works great except my ambient temp reading from the IT+ just says "off". I have a good signal from the IT+ and it is setup properly. I...

    New wireless probe system

I followed your steps above and both LinkMeter and HeaterMeter updated fine. Once updated I set Probe 3 to RF 12 and node to "any" and applied the changes. Once I did that I could see between 1 and 3 nodes. One of the nodes always had a good signal and battery and was always present, the...

    New wireless probe system

I have a La Crosse with a TX25U transmitter which appears to be interchangeable with the TX 29. Can you tell me how to setup LinkMeter so I can see it? I did not originally install the RF components on my V3.2 board, but decided to do so this week. I think I have everything required installed...

    Upgrading HeaterMeter & LinkMeter

Thanks Bryan. I tried upgrading just the package and couldn't get that to work either. I ended up having to use TFTP and the BIN file to re install instead of upgrade. Everything seems to be working now.

    Upgrading HeaterMeter & LinkMeter

Bryan, Is there any reason why this upgrade should not work? Do you have any thoughts on why after HeaterMeter updated it slows the web interface down almost to the point where it isn't usable? Thanks

    Upgrading HeaterMeter & LinkMeter

    Upgrading HeaterMeter & LinkMeter

I have a LinkMeter with a V3.2 HeaterMeter board. I built this last spring and have not upgraded since. This morning I upgraded HeaterMeter through the LinkMeter web interface. HeaterMeter upgraded successfully and the LCD shows the correct temps of 4 different probes. After the upgrade the...

LinkMeter v2 Homebrew BBQ Controller - Part 2

I haven't' seen my router reboot, but I lost the first four hours of data on my last cook. Everything seemed to be running fine, but I noticed after about five hours the first four hours of data had disappeared.

LinkMeter v2 Homebrew BBQ Controller - Part 2

I am building a fan adapter for my father in law who has a Large BGE. He is traveling right now and he lives far enough away I can't go look at it. Can someone give me some dimensions of the adapter plate that sits in the air inlet door? Thanks
