The flame is blue in color but very short out of the tube......... Without the SS in place, I could keep my hand at grill level for awhile.... With the SS in place, I can hardly feel any heat at all coming from the slots cut into the SS bar. The SS bar itself got hot enough to sizzle...

Thanks for the suggestion. I use the smaller propane tanks associated with the portability of the grill. Hence, no regulator. Perhaps the step where the person "turns on the LP tank" is where I would attach the small propane tank....... after the knob is turned to the OFF position.

I'll need to follow up with a photo or two of my current chrome plated grill on my WGA charcoal grill. Do the chrome grill grates become hazardous over time and leach unwanted particles into the food? I used a course wire brush that is used in a power drill to strip off and clean the grill...

I did call them....... only communication with them was via email. No follow up or confirmation that the GA Charcoal grate no longer is offered.

Anybody know of a Thin Stainless Steel grill grate for the WGA. 10" x 16" thin SS grill grate? I just prefer the thin grill grate and to have it in SS would be awesome!

Thanks everyone. I order the SS Flavor Plate. I'm researching the grill part now. I see the Craycort cast iron grates on their website. I noticed that the current version has a solid piece down the middle of the grill...... I think it is to protect the gas burner, but I prefer not to have...
