    store.heatermeter.com not in operation anymore?

    Too bad. I love the open-source aspect of this, don't really want a 'commercial' solution. The web page interface was perfect. I've got a medical issue that leads to just enough hand-shake to make soldering an exercise in frustration now, was hoping for one assembled. I'll check out options...

    store.heatermeter.com not in operation anymore?

    I just read the 'chip shortages and the future' thread, so I kind of have an answer.

    store.heatermeter.com not in operation anymore?

    Been a long time since I checked in, wanting to add to my HM inventory. Store site as a bad wildcard cert from *.shopify.com. Did I miss something that changed? :-(

    HeaterMeter ---> CoolerMeter

    That was exactly where I was going. You find a peltier that worked well? The cheap stryo cooler filled with ice occurred to me yesterday...

    HeaterMeter ---> CoolerMeter

    For cold smoking in hot climates, I'd like to use a HeaterMeter with fan to introduce cold air into a smoking cabinet to keep the heat DOWN, not UP. Is there a way to do this simply, maybe inverting values in the PID settings?

    Issue configuring SMTP client...

    Log says: user.notice lmalarm: sendmail: account default from /etc/msmtprc: envelope-from address is missing In the Services/SMTP client panel, the field is greyed out, I can't edit it. I can edit the rest of the fields and save them just fine. Any ideas?

    Stashing/Archiving a portion of the graph

    Perfect, I'll try that out tonight. Matches the behavior of other rrd-based utilities that I've used.

    Stashing/Archiving a portion of the graph

    My question is about stash (or csv file) granularity. When I grab the csv file, I'm getting data points every three minutes, I'd like that a LOT finer. A second, or a few seconds. Is the data in the .rrd file if I use rrdtool to extract it, or is 3 min granularity the best we get?

    Auber HeaterMeter, no eithernet (wired or wireless)

    Got it sorted out, enough at least. Got wireless working, then figured out what was wrong with wired. Still can't USE the wired side, but the WiFi was what a really needed, so ....

    Auber HeaterMeter, no eithernet (wired or wireless)

    I got the Auber pre-assembled HM today, and can't get networking running. No link light, traffic light on Eth0 port with known good switch and cable. I poked around in the console (not skilled in OpenWRT, but have some old UNIX memories, so I can manage), can't see any reason it wouldn't be...

    HM controlling electric smokers . . . .

    40A looks ideal, have one ordered. Might get here to play with it this weekend!

    HM controlling electric smokers . . . .

    All great news! My smoke generator is a Bradley, the heater cabinet is a MES 40. It IS 110V, I believe the spec sheet on the MES claimed a 1250 W heating element, so I'll be looking in the 11-12 amp range. The concept of 100% min/max and pulsed operation makes complete sense. The cable...

    HM controlling electric smokers . . . .

    Love your avatar, Steve, I have a shirt with that logo on it! I looked for threads on hacking the MES, wiring wise, and haven't found any yet. I'm not opposed to opening it up and cutting out what is not needed, but it'd be nice to have a guide to what I don't need to take apart.

    HM controlling electric smokers . . . .

    Outstanding! I'm envisioning a fan-based one on a Big Green Egg, too. Any links I should be looking at?

    HM controlling electric smokers . . . .

    Can the HeaterMeter, as it is today, function as a PID for a Masterbuilt or Bradley electric smoker? I'm tired of the 50 degree temperature swings.... Thanks for any pointers or ideas! -------------------------------- Marc A Nowell

    Greetings from Irving, TX!

    Have had many, many grills, current one is a Weber Grill Center plumbed for natural gas. And I like curing and smoking meats and cheeses. Current project is a "Frankin-Smoker", using a MES40 with a Bradley smoke generator, all mounted on a garden carts. Still a work in progress. What brought...
