    Stopped Working :(

True - Although I bought mine for $20 on craiglist and it has a bit too much air leak. Gives the heatermeter a lot to do but I think all that airflow dries stuff out a bit.

    Stopped Working :(

Thanks all for your help and suggestions. After trying everything else i could think of, I replaced the Atamega chip and all is fine. Wish I had done that a month ago! Also thanks Ralph for teaching me how to test voltage. I'm a n00b. Time to buy a case to protect it. My dad just bought a...

    Stopped Working :(

Hey All, I'm hoping someone can give me a hand diagnosing my problems. I'm not very good with this stuff - I have gone through and checked all the resistors. I tried checking the voltages but I may be doing it wrong. I used a multimeter set to DCV (both at 2 and 20) and tried to check the...

Failed during my time of need

Just want to thank everyone here - especially the designers. I had a party yesterday and ended up having to go anolog on my Weber kettle to smoke a pork shoulder and a duck when my heatermeter wouldn't turn on. After a year of using the heatermeter this was not very fun and the food...

    Pit probe problem

It may just be a connection issue with the Jack - Some wiggling seems to fix the temp. Has anyone done any jack modifications or found different jacks for the THermoworks probes? It also could easily be that my soldering sucks.

    Pit probe problem

Hi All - I'm in the middle of my first cook. I just put a chicken on and am using the ThermoWorks TX-1001X-OP probes for both PIT temp and in my chicken. I think all my settings are right, but the temperature for the chicken should be closer to 80 degrees right now. I tried in all the food...

    New Builder - Fan Issue

Thanks Man! Wasn't quite the issue but it seemed like it was a bad connection at Q3. I resoldered and the fan fired up. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

    New Builder - Fan Issue

Hey All, I'm just finishing up my heatermeter build. Thanks Bryan for the awesome project. Thanks everyone else for providing tips. Everything seems to be working correctly except for the fan (kinda the whole point). I'm out of my depth electronically so I wanted to run a few things by you...

    Maverick Food Probes

Hey All - I'm just getting started with HeaterMeter. I ordered all (hopefully) my parts yesterday. I went with a couple of these Thermoworks probes (TX-1001X-OP). I'm assuming (maybe wrongly) that I can use these for both the meat and the grill temps. If that is correct, how are you mounting...
