PartyQ AC adapter mod for less than 10 bucks

Thanks Clint! I appreciate your advice. I am going to go with the 5.1V-2A adapter as it has a longer power cord.

PartyQ AC adapter mod for less than 10 bucks

This thread has pulled me out of lurker mode and back into the game! I have a question for Matt H or anyone with electrical knowledge for that matter. I have an old ac adapter that is 5V 1A. Would this work or do I need a 6V 1A like recommended?

Got it done. I just left it in a little longer and rechecked the thermometer positioning. Everything checked out ok so the chicken came off. I thought it tasted great but the wife was REALLY impressed (and sometimes that is what counts the most!) Thanks for the suggestion and help everyone!

Drilling a hole in the lid of my WSM for my Tel-Tru BQ300. I didn't use the Unibit 4 but the Neiko version (cheaper on Amazon). My lid didn't come out unharmed though...I was trying to play it TOO safe and used 4 layers of duct tape so the bit wouldn't wander. The bit kept on getting gummed...
