    WiFi DHCP Problems

My next step would be to use 'no restore' option and start from scratch. Make sure AP mode works by connecting to 'Heatermeter' SSID. If that's ok then remove all security from router, reboot router, config HM as a client and connect to router. If that works add security to router and rescan...

    WiFi DHCP Problems

Received my WiFi adapter with the RT5370 chipset this weekend. I now get an IP each time I cycle the power on my HM. Thanks for everyone's input on this problem.

    WiFi DHCP Problems

Bryan, I tried WPA2 PSK (CCMP) only. I received an IP on the first try, then I couldn't get an IP on subsequent reboots. I will try TKIP only shortly. I'll order both types of supported adapters. Will not make any changes to etho. I have no problems on there.

    WiFi DHCP Problems

I'm going to grab some extras... Would this require a driver install? Would be nice to stick with something in the build.

    WiFi DHCP Problems

I'm running the Edimax EW-7811Un. Not sure if obtaining the IP is linked to the adapter drivers, OpenWrt or both.

    WiFi DHCP Problems

OK based on some of the suggestions above I started by rebooting my router and when it powered up completely the HM was able to obtain an IP. However when I cycled the power the HM would not pick up an IP again unless I rebooted the router. So I went on to remove the security(WPA-PSK (TKIP)...

    WiFi DHCP Problems

Hello, My newly built 4.2.4HM with V12 is very temperamental with consistently obtaining an IP over WiFI. Interface configurations seem to be OK because it will obtain an IP but not each time I power up the HM. I don't know what combination of actions corrects this issue but eventually I get...

    Probe Alternatives

Thanks Bryan. I'll figure that out and give it a shot when I get my HM put together and post the results. Hats off to you for sharing this awesome project with the world.

    Probe Alternatives

Hi All, Any idea if the probe that connects to the Oregon Scientific BBQ / Oven Meat Thermometer Grill-Right Wireless and Talking Model: AW131 will work with a HM 4.2? http://www.oregonscientific.com/us/en/AW131-AW129-Wireless-Meat-Thermometer-Replacement-Probes-AWP131129-P I have 2 of these...

Whats Up Good People! Coming from Atlanta GA

I've been using a WSM 18.5 for over a year now. Cooked my 2nd brisket a few weeks ago for a small family get together and my folks are still talking about it. Just purchased a WSM 22.5(only used once) with several bags of charcoal and wood chunks for $300 off Craigslist. Man this thing is...
