I also have the OJB drum and LOVE it!!! Haven't tried a turkey yet, but it's on my wish list. Did you use the deflector plate, or just smoked over the fire direct?
About 4 hours hung in the OJB using hickory chips for lite smoke. Some blackberry cobbler (picked this morning). Keeping it cheap and delicious under $5.
