Thanks Bob,I'm using a exhaust probe that fits the 1/4 inch hole while providing support for the grid bracket.

Bob my probe is in the same place but is not more than 3/8 in that includes the nut so the probe is only 1/8 inch. Perhaps I shound find one a little longer. What do you think?

I'm going to try one. You get the blower and mounting, adjustable power supply and thermostat for $50. I see no reason it should not work.

Has anyone tried a manual thermostat temperature control system? I saw one on eBay and was just curious. I think it would work but probably not as good of control as you have with the PID. Any thoughts?

I read someplace that the new WSM do not need the mod due to Weber making them a different. Is this true?? I have a new 14.5 on the way. Will apply while it's clean if needed.
