Login in two different HMs from the same browser?

It works well if I open two different instances of the browser but not if I open two tabs in the same IE instance... Trying Edge instead of IE, I can open and keep authenticated two tabs in the same instance... Thanks again!

Login in two different HMs from the same browser?

Hi gents, I have two different HMs running at the same time; one forwarding port 80 and the other one forwarding port 8080... When I login into the first one, can access the configuration screen and change whatever I want to change. If I switch screens and login into the second HM, when I return...

    INTRODUCING: the "Roto Damper"

Well… I have one Akorn, a mini Akorn and an UDS made from an old wood burning furnace. My original plan was to use one old model RD with the mini Akorn keeping the two RD3s for the full size Akorn and the UDS… As winter is coming and so far I could only install the RD3 in the Akorn, I changed...

    INTRODUCING: the "Roto Damper"

I finally got some time to build the Auxiliary TC board for one of the two RD3s I got from Ralph. I tested the board before mounting it in the little box of the RD3 and it worked perfectly… Having everything ready and all planets aligned, I assembled RD3 and AuxTC and mounted them in my Akorn...

    INTRODUCING: the "Roto Damper"

I'm planning to replace my Akorn when ceramic prices go down too... My question for someone who may have one in a place like Winnipeg with really cold winters is if the extreme temperatures (-40C) may affect (crack) the ceramic? Not a good idea to get it in the middle of the living room during...

    INTRODUCING: the "Roto Damper"

Just received the "big box of goodies" from Ralph (awesome!)... Waiting for the blowers and components for the RD3 and Aux TC. In the meantime, I'm building the adapters to mount the RD3 in my Akorn... Pictures and results coming soon... Thank you Ralph for all the printing and your help!

    INTRODUCING: the "Roto Damper"

Blowtorch?... Ha, ha, ha... It's what I use to start Ralph's inspired Ring of Fire... I call it "the lazy man fire starter"... :) I should try the Weber cubes...

Heatermeter Aux. Thermocouple And two probe board V6.1(Final Version)

Hi, I ordered the boards a couple of days ago and am waiting for them. I'll also order the parts to build a couple of them shortly... I didn't find many details on what and how to wire the HM board. I have a HM with thermocouple. Could someone provide a detailed wiring for the HM to use the aux...

    Extremely cold temperatures

Hi Ralph, That's a great idea!. In that way, the only electronics exposed to low temp would be the thermocouple amplifier if I locate it (as you already did) at the side of the damper's cat5 connector. Thanks!

Smoked electrons don't taste very good :D

    Extremely cold temperatures

Hey Dave, you should try to smoke pork ribs instead of HMs ;P

    Extremely cold temperatures

Thank you for your responses!... So above -30C, it should work well with the exception of the LCD. The only precaution would be to turn it off before bringing it into the house and allow condensation to dry up before next use... Awesome!

    Extremely cold temperatures

Hi, I live in Winnipeg, Canada... Winter is comming and I wonder what the limits of operation are for the HM?... I think that -10C (15F) is something reasonable for many electronics but, unfortunately, there are colder days comming during December and Jannuary and I don't want to give up BBQing...

    Temperature oscillations. Normal?

Ok... here is what I did... 1. Sealed all the possible air leaks with aluminum tape. Ash pan and bottom damper... 2. Around 7:30 PM – 8:00 PM, started a small fire on top of the fire bowl loaded with charcoal... 3. After a few minutes, when the fire was ignited, started the HM with B=4, P=3...
