KBB 20lb twin packs on sale @ Lowes

Thanks Chris for your input. I did check the historical prices before I posted. Also, my wife is a WM associate, so we get 10% off purchases. She said that they are loading pallets full of twin packs getting ready for Memorial Day. What the price tag is, she isn't sure of yet. We are hoping...

KBB 20lb twin packs on sale @ Lowes

That doesn't seem like very much of a sale. Less than $20.00 normal price for that. Over 40 cents per pound..........surely there will be a much better sale here soon. Saw Wally World had literally hundreds of twin packs of the 16 odd pound bags rolling in. I need 5 or 6 hundred pounds...

    RCplanebuyer grates Weber Genesis

Chris, where in Georgia, are you? I am in the SC Lowcountry, near Savannah. I am interested in your stockpile. I have a Red Genesis that I want to restore and having some of your parts would be a great way to begin.

    Performer U-Frame Help Needed

I came across a $25.00 Gas Assist Performer a couple of years ago. It had been to the Beach. Had a lot of body cancer. We completely disassembled the unit, had everything sandblasted, and primed with galvanizing primer. Painted the entire frame, front and rear panels, and re-assembeld it...

    Wood Handle Upgrade

Brian is da Bomb! He did some wood handles for me about 4 or 5 years ago. They still look just like new. I bought some 2 screw and some 1 screw models. His finishing is absolutely perfect. Most of my restorations are boxed and garaged for safe keeping. I highly recommend his products.

    Adding third grate??

On my WSM 22.5, my setup is as follows: I foil wrap the water pan with a clay saucer inside for a heat sink. I use the original smaller grate sitting directly above the water pan. On that grate, I sit an 18 inch round, 2 inch deep, cake pan. I put about a gallon of warm water in it, and add...

    Char-Griller Acorn Hinge

I acquired an Acorn Char Griller in the purchase of a Red Weber Gas grill that I am restoring. The hinge was all askew and mangled on the Akorn. I disassembled the Akorn, purchased a new hinge, and made the repairs to it. While I had the hinge in my hand, I looked at using one on my WSM 22.5...

Is Memorial Day the next KBB sale?

I saw that when I was in there last Monday. I went by the display 3 times before finally saying NO! and waiting for the early season sales. We burned through over 500 lbs. since I last bought 2 years ago. Still have some hardwood lump that I bought on sale at Lowes a couple of years back...

Weber 22 Inch Premium Kettle Clearance At Local Lowes

I was in Lowes for some misc. hardware today, and as always, I made a trip down the isle with all of the charcoal grills and smokers. I found the 22 inch Premium Kettles on clearance, marked down to $89.40. Sitting right next to them were the Weber Original 22 inch grills (formerly the silver...

When you see a Weber Performer for $40, you buy it.

Dang it all. I paid $50.00 for that very same model 3 months ago. I thought I had made a great deal, but now I feel like I was cheated! Maybe I should call the guy back and tell him that he cheated me! Great score on the Performer.

Master-Touch Lid Bale on a OTG?

Having 3 Performers and a 22 inch Deluxe Kettle, all with lid bales, let me give you this advice. Make sure to get proper measurements for hole placement. Height of those holes is particularly important as interference with the cooking grate could easily be a major problem. Rotating a grate...

Give me some justification for adding to the family

I have three 2011 Deluxe (Gas Assist) Performers ( one Blue and two black), four 22.5 inch kettles (Homer Simpson, Green Mastertouch, Blue Deluxe, and a early 1970s Red), a Jim Beam branded Jumbo Joe, two 14 inch Smokey Joe Silvers (Lime Green and Homer Simpson), a Smokey Joe Gold turned into a...
