WNBA is getting exciting

That Caitlin is sure making a name for herself and is very exciting to watch.
She reminds me of a young Steph Curry with the humble classiness and all the different skills she brings.

Then there is all that drama from her haters which I find rather amusing, ok downright amusing 😛.
She is going to completely change that league and make a lot of the players multi millionaires.
I dunno, maybe I’m too simple, but if she was going to help me get a better paycheck I’d rather be her friend than her hater.

I looked into getting good seats for the next time Indiana played in Seattle but dayumm $8k plus per seat for not even the best seat is something that I will have to pass on.
Heck I thought I was ballin thinking I would just drop a few hundred dollars for some decent seats and a few more for hotel costs.
Me? I guess I know where my place is now 🤔.

8 Grand for a WNBA ticket? Yeah, that's a hard pass. I'm sure after the hoopla surrounding Caitlin Clark dies down a little bit that ticket prices will return to normal.

Caitlin Clark is definitely a huge star.

I'd say that she was the most famous college basketball player last season by a large margin. She was, of course, the female POY and Naismith Award winner last season. Can you name the mens winner? I couldn't and had to look it up.

Big part of that is that female hoopsters now can make a lot of dough and build their brand while in college. So they stay in college hoops for four years before taking a big pay cut to go to the WNBA. Male hoopsters stay only a year or two in college before cashing in on fat NBA pay checks.

Clark, of course, was the #1 pick in the WNBA draft. And the top college player picked in this year's NBA draft was _____?????

Had to look that one up too -- Kentucky freshman Reed Sheppard. I couldn't pick him out of a line up if my life depended on it.

Like Larry and Magic all over again, interest wise. Actually worth watching WNBA now, far prefer to NBA foul ball. I like college ball tournament time, much more exciting to me. Andy, did you perhaps mean $80/ticket?

We are just getting over a strong slap of Covid so I must have misread the price for the game in Seattle a few days ago.
I checked today and premium tickets in Indiana are $699. Plus fees.

Seattle is kinda like San Jose and San Francisco when it comes to spendy prices but $8k per is obviously me misreading the price.
Sorry about that.

Yeah, I'm a huge fan of basketball in general, and I absolutely love what Caitlin will do for the wnba.

But there is no world in which I would pay that amount for any game ever. And that includes Larry dropping 40+ with his left hand. Celtics fans know...
