What's on Your Super Bowl Menu?

We'll be having the usual chips and veggies with dips. I also like to make these Korean wings from Meat Church. I just oven bake mine, but the sauce is awesome.

For the main event, I'm making French Onion beef sliders.

Those both look great!

We're sort of on the same wavelength in regards to menus - We're doing Sichuan wings- I'll start them on the 22" Weber kfc style, then finish them in the wok. I smoked a 22lb shoulder / picnic thing over night Friday that will become pork sliders

....here's a shot from Friday of the pig leg going on:

the french onion beef sliders look especially good to me. I may have to check that recipe out soon

I have 2 batches of wings marinating in a modified Italian dressing: 6 without heat for Mrs. O. and 16-18 with heat for moi. I'll grill them direct over low heat; hers on the 18" Bar-B-Kettle and mine on the original version 26". And since it's just the 2 of us we'll have a small plate of cheese, sausage and crackers for snacking.

First time ever I’ve had the cooked big game food ready before the game starts.

Some chicken meatballs in sauce. Sides will be parmigiana style, spaghetti or sandos.

Cooked up 20 full wings with seasoning. Will dress them and reheat them to enjoy during the game.

No horse in this race today so I’m just going to enjoy some hopefully great athleticism and a close and competitive game.

Whatever we decide to order from BJ's. I wanted to go to my favorite brewpub but apparently that closed in December. So watching the game here instead.

That is not painted. Weber was distributing those through Walmart a while back
You can still get them, they are full price if bought online ($149+ tax) I hear that some stores have them on clearance for as low as $79, but my wallyworld never did

We went all out.
We brought some frozen spring rolls to my daughter’s place and used her air fryer 🙂.
The spring rolls were the first things gone so I don’t feel that bad.
They had meatballs, chili, pigs in a blanket some breads and some fruits.

At halftime the wife and I went to the VFW (not a member) and tasted their crockpot cook off.
Those plates were amazing.
All sorts of local game and seafoods galore were in most of those crockpots.
That said, I think my favorite was the pork belly in an adobo sauce.
I’ve never had that before and it was awesome 👏.
