Ok,I'm originally from the East Coast. They make submarine sandwiches with this dill pickle kind of relish on top. What is it? ANyone have a recipe?? Please!! I've searched everywhere and can't find it. Thanks.

Paul,
May not be what you're looking for, but Mt Olive makes a dill relish.
I found some at my local Schnuck's store.

Whereabouts are you from? I'm a jersey shore guy and i know of no relish? The hot pepper relish sounds south jersey/philly to me...

I'm from the Boston area. Jim H is on the right track. It has some hot peppers in it. I will try the dill relish.

Are you talking about a product that you remember from out East, or something that you stumbled onto in Indiana?

If it has peppers, olives, plus maybe carrots or cauliflower in it, and sort of oily with a good hit of heat - that would be "gardiniera".

Around here - they like to put it on Italian Beef subs / hoagies.
