Vortex Wings

Fired up the Kettle with a loaded Vortex for a quick wing cook. I dry brined them for about 6 hours. I used Oakridge Gamebird and Jerk for these. The sauced ones were Gamebird and Franks buffalo ranch. I really liked those ones. The jerk batch was a little heavy on the spice, more than I thought. First time using that rub from my Oakride sample pack. Overall great, easy Sunday dinner. Oh, and it was paired with a frozen Trader Joe's pizza haha!

You know, if I were to have more people over, I think some wings might be nice for Thanksgiving with the brisket. Maybe I will do some anyway but, there will only be the six of us and I am planning on eating myself silly on brisketso, if I do them I m not going to do a full circle.

Nice looking wings Andy, pizza as a side....I like it. I'll be firing up our performer today with the vortex the first time in almost eight months, finally lifted the fire restrictions banning charcoal use. Making some KFC and bakers really looking forward to using charcoal again.
