Kind of a fun idea. Then you could look for yourself on TV. :)

I'm still not sure we'll ultimately have a season.

We were lucky enough to go to an actual baseball game last night. We are lucky enough here in Rockford IL to have a team called the Rockford Rivets. They're a Northwoods League team. The stadium is clean, great sightlines, the atmosphere is fun and it's baseball up close and personal. They are doing spacing between seats, using interns to help with food service to keep lines down at concessions and so on. We have season passes for this season we bought last year before all this "stuff" started. Thankfully they've started their season this past Wed July 1

Larry, the team here in St. Paul has gurney races between innings (one of the local medical facilities is a sponsor.....)

In any case I have to say I enjoy going to these games more than a major league game. Yeah they make mistakes but those kids play their butts off, they're not going for big bucks or crying when they get a hang nail. It's "real" baseball

The Madison Mallards are also a Northwoods team but have unfortunately cancelled the 2020 season. Ironically, their home (Warner Park) is the largest ballpark in the NWL.

I remember well the Beloit Brewers' inaugural season of 1982, when $5 could buy a night at the park: $2 at the gate, 50 cents for a 12oz PBR, 75 cents for a 16oz Old Style, and foul balls could be traded in for concession stand items (other than beer).

"Now batting, number 21...Collin Tanabe!"...that was a pretty good summer.

Is Mike Veeck still an owner?
