Trend thermometer #33 - is this "The One" ?

Hi all,

saw Chris's detailed install of his Trend brand #33 thermometer that gets put into the top or lid of the WSM smoker.

I was going to go with an el-cheapo brand but this looks very nice. Price however at $35 American ( $50 Canadian approx ) is heafty, but if this thermo is that great I will buy one.

Is this the model I should be looking at ?
I see the link for the thermometer also, near the instructions, I wonder if there are other places.

Anyone know a place in Canada by chance ?

The Trend #33 works well for me, but any high-quality bimetal thermometer with a 4" stem, a big, easy-to-read dial, and the 1/2" threaded mount on the back will work fine.

Good brands include Trend, Wika (maker of Trend), Ashcroft, and Tel-Tru.

Hopefully someone in Canada can turn you on to sources.
