Spirit Grease Tray OK in Dishwasher?

I’m sure this has been asked before, but has anyone put the grease tray from a spirit 2013 in the dishwasher and did it come out ok? Obviously I will scrape most of it off! Many thanks

You would have to sneak it past your wife otherwise no issues

My wife works weekends. That’s when the grates go in the dishwasher.

What's the DW tub made out of, SS or plastic?
Reason I ask is I did some grates in my old DW which had a almond plastic tub. The grease and smoke grime really did a number on leaving behind stains. Had to run a few empty cycles with DW cleaner and some elbow grease to get behind / under the seals.

I would not put it in the dishwasher without thoroughly cleaning it first.

I scrape, then easyoff, then scrub the porcelain enamel trays with good results

Our DW is white metal and we’ve never had a problem. I do a basic scrubbing in the utility sink with Simple Green and a Lyman brush first.
