Silver/gold vs 1000-5000 manifold

Are all the older 1000 manifolds round and the newer silver and gold manifolds square?

I have also had a round manifold which was in Spirit 700 which is basically an early Silver B. But I have never seen square manifolds on the x000.

The two genesis 1000s I have both have round manifolds.

I've seen the square ones in the Silver/gold but never in a 1000-5000.

My sample data is really small. Round manifolds in everything I have, and they are '92 and older. First square manifold I saw was when I ordered a natural gas manifold for one of my old grills.

Great. Just looking for a quick way to differentiate and it looks like round is 1000 and earlier and square is the Silver/gold/platinum manifolds.
